Join us this Human Rights Day (21st March) for an unforgettable journey through South Africa’s complex and powerful history. A Walk-Through History:
We begin our journey in Stellenbosch, where we visit two significant sites of forced removals that took place during the apartheid era. These stories, told through the lens of South Africa’s current Constitution, will set the stage for our exploration of human rights and justice.
From there, we head to Cape Town, stopping at the historic District 6, where one of the most tragic forced removals occurred. Through personal stories and historical insights, we’ll uncover the heartbreak, resilience, and triumph of those affected.
Exploring Cape Town’s Rich Heritage:
Our exploration continues with visits to some of the most significant landmarks in the city:
Castle of Good Hope – The oldest colonial building in South Africa, a symbol of both oppression and transformation.
Slave Lodge – A harrowing but essential reminder of South Africa’s past and the fight for human dignity.
Company’s Garden – Once cultivated to supply passing ships, now a peaceful space in the heart of Cape Town with a rich history.
